Yorkshire Dales - Meadows, Barns and Waterfalls

For this tour, I will team up with Charlie Waite, the founder of Light & Land.

The Yorkshire Dales are unrivalled in their dramatic limestone crags, rivers, gorges, caves and escarpments rising and falling from the classic farming dales shaped by man over hundreds of years. No matter how many times you see the veritable jigsaw of meadows, dry stone walls, field barns and farmhouses, you cannot fail to be awed by the work that has continued to make the Dales what they are today.

The upland hay meadows in the Yorkshire Dales are home to more than 100 species of wildflowers in each field, as well as many rare wildlife species and endangered animals. The timing of our tour means that the wildflower meadows will be in bloom, giving us the chance to capture this wonderful spectacle of nature.

We will be staying in the market town of Richmond, which is within easy reach of the best that the Yorkshire has to offer - Wensleydale and Swaledale. These areas offer everything a landscape photographer can wish for, from dramatic waterfalls to grand vistas over the Yorkshire countryside with its quaint villages and famous stone barns – the English landscape at its very best.

During the evenings at our comfortable hotel there will be the opportunity to receive feedback on your images, or just relaxing and enjoying the Yorkshire hospitality after a great day of photography.
