Over the last 30 years, Romania has developed into one of the most visually and culturally wonderful places to visit. The 2022 Light & Land photography tour has been extended by a couple of days to allow us extra time to visit locations with a wealth of photographic experiences on offer. 

Transylvania, Romania’s most famous and largest region, is usually associated with vampires and legends. But this tour will actually provide you with an insight into the reality, culture and beauty of this truly fascinating region. On the agenda, there are mountainous landscapes with mist in the valleys, medieval towns and truly interesting people, from local organic farmers to gypsy coppersmiths. 

The landscape in Romania is spectacular and unlike any other country you will visit. Rural isolated farms, haystacks, lakes, rivers, mountains and rolling hills give the most incredible back drop. Add to this an abundance of wild flowers and you can start to see that this is a tour with so much variety you won’t fail to be inspired.
