Bulgaria is a fascinating country, which, despite its small geographical size, boasts a surprising variety of breathtaking natural beauty and a rich and ancient history, shaped by Neolithic settlers, Thracians, Romans, Celts, Proto-Bulgarians, Slavs and Ottomans.

I will be leading a brand new tour for Light & Land to Bulgaria in January 2020. The highlight of the trip will be the Kukeri, or mummers festival, and we will witness the celebrations in several villages, before moving on and exploring other parts of the country, right to the Black Sea. We will visit places that no ordinary tourist will ever see.

Places on the tour are limited to six so that I can dedicate plenty of time and support to each participant. And with our experienced ground guide Yuri also on hand, you are bound to have a great experience and return with images you will treasure.
