When Night Falls - London Photography Workshop

London provides photographers with endless opportunities to capture the hustle and bustle of street life, architecture, grand views and unique, unrepeatable little moments in the life of its people. The city never sleeps, and when the day fades away and the lights come on, a whole new world appears – and it brings with it new and exciting opportunities to make interesting photographs.

During our workshop, we will explore how London changes when night falls. We will photograph iconic views across the river and will discover how the appearance of some of the city’s most recognisable buildings is transformed when they are lit by artificial light.

Our route, which leads along the southside of the Thames before we cross the river and head into Westminster, will provide us with a plethora of subjects. Photographing at lower light levels does not necessarily require shooting with the camera on a tripod, although that will come in handy, on occasion. We will explore ways to utilise the available light to produce images which capture the true character of London at night.
