Reflections of Bruges

Light & Land Tour

Thanks to its canals and more than 80 bridges, Bruges is often referred to as Venice of the North. Most of its period architecture remains intact making Bruges one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. Cobblestone streets, windmills and spires add to its charm. Our tour will take place in early December when the light is low, and shadows are long.

A Unesco World Heritage Site, Bruges is a photographer’s heaven, offering us countless views along its canals spanned by bridges, each of which has its own character. The reflections in the water feature all colours under the sun and resemble those found in Venice. We will have ample opportunity to photograph intricate architectural details and pastel-coloured houses with distinctive crow-stepped gables.

No photographic trip to Bruges would be complete without wandering along the straight canals just a stone’s throw away from the city. We will spend a few hours exploring the seemingly endless vistas and tree-lined avenues, which will allow us to create atmospheric images in whatever weather we may encounter at that time of the year.
